Sooooo, at playgroup last week the moms and I were talking about which parent our children look like. I found this fun sight and go figure, Ella Grace looks equally like both of us.

Every summer the Walters family gathers at our family lake home in Northern Indiana. This year Ella Grace and I were lucky enough to spend 2 weeks there! Brian came up the second week along with my dad, sister, and brothers. We had amazing weather and Ella Grace did great. I got up on 1 ski again for the first time since my hip surgery, Brian got to spend a few hours each morning on the golf course.... and inspired my brothers to go out and buy themselves a set of clubs. One night Brian made sushi for the fam, but the rest of the dinners were filled with fresh corn on the cob and some mouth-watering grilled yum-yums! Our days included boat rides, skiing, bike rides around the lake, walks to the bridge, and lots of naps AHHHHHH!! Ella Grace went on her first plane ride. Her favorite thing to do was lounge under the umbrella on the dock. (she definitely is my daughter! HA) Maybe next year we will be lucky enough to spend a month!! Here are a few of our favorite shots from the trip.
My favorite! Thanks Cassandra for the pretty photo!
Brian and I had a special treat last weekend. Eema came in town to hang with Ella Grace so Brian and I could go to our friends, Jake and Lisa Petkovich's wedding. The wedding was stunning. It took place on an old plantation in Charleston, SC. The weather was amazing and a fabulous time was had by all! Ella Grace and I got to "talk" to each other throughout the weekend. My mom skyped with her and told me all about their days. It was so fun!

We had so much fun Labor day weekend. We got to go visit Nana and Papa and go swimming. Ella Grace was such a trooper, the water was colder than Indiana water and she still loved it. Ella Grace also got to sit like a big girl at the table for the first time in a high chair at Nana's during dinnertime. We ended our weekend at the park with a swing ride. Ella Grace also learned how to ride in her stroller facing forward. She now loves to go for walks with her Daddy when he gets home from work.
